The two-piece Spruce top shows premium fine grain. The beautiful two-piece Maple back shows prominent broad curl descending from the center downward. The aged, Eastern European tone wood resonates with remarkable control. The instrument is aggressive and responds to virtuoso bowing techniques.  The sound plates are graduated to perfection. The varnish is of a warm, Golden Amber/Burnt Sienna color over a Golden Gamboge ground. The accessories are a rare combination  of high grade Ebony and Pernambuco woods.

The tone quality is remarkable, and exhibits commanding power with distinctively rich overtones. The instrument possesses thunderous projection and sustain, and quickly responds to virtuoso bowing techniques. It has a desireable, classic Italian look about it.
