The top sound plate is made from aged, premium fine to medium grain Spruce. The beautiful two-piece Maple back shows prominent broad curl descending from the center downward. The aged, Eastern European tone wood rings true at a perfect D4 tap tone.  The sound plates are graduated to perfection for optimum vibration transference. The tinted varnish is a warm, Golden Amber/Burnt Sienna color over a Gamboge ground in the Cremonese Masters style.

The tone quality is wonderful, making use of powerful projection and sustain. Advanced bowing techniques produce rich and even  overtones all the way down the fingerboard. The instrument is ideal for a professional soloist, or first chair orchestral player.
